Presumptive Conditions for Veterans

These ‘presumptive conditions,’ approved
for disability claims, include bladder cancer.
For example, a veteran with bladder cancer can
file a claim and receive a monthly check from the
VA. Currently, the monthly compensation is over
$3,000, tax free, ‘100% Permanent and Total’
disability ‘based on the loss of use of creative
organ’.
New disability conditions were added as of
January 2021. Prior to this, you had to prove a
connection between Agent Orange and your
disability. Now you don’t. This applies to veterans
who were in Vietnam and other locations where
Agent Orange was applied.

Also, the PACT Act, recently passed, adds vets
who were exposed to burn pits and other toxic
substances to the list:

This is to alert veterans with certain conditions
of the possibility of filing a disability claim with the
VA.

REMINDER: A doctor's referral is required to take with you or to be faxed to the clinic before your visit. Be sure your referral covers additional visits with the nurse if that might be needed. This will help with your insurance coverage. Keep a log of what appliance you wear and when you change it.
